Friends... From the last post on this topic, this is the word I ended with. Friends are what teenagers hold dear. They are the people teens want to prove themselves to. Teenagers are in the age where emotions run faster than their though process. This means they base their judgements on how they feel, not what they think and this can be a bad thing. Friends are not bad and having a good set of friends can even make you be a better person but the problem is when they are not. This proposes a lot of problems as a crossroad emerges, do you stay with this group or abandon them?? For teens this is a challenge, if your aim is to prove yourself and make a statement, jumping ship and walking out is not an option and most of the time this becomes problematic. If someone or a group people expect you to constantly prove yourself and alter yourself to fit their standards then that is not a friends.
