Failure is the beginning, not the end

Failure is often seen as the end point. It is seen as the point of no return where all things end. However, it is the complete opposite. Failure is the beginning as you need to fail to succeed. This is because no one is immediately able to do something they have never tried before. Yes, some people might find things easier than others at first, but that does not mean that they too are immune from failing.

All people experience failure before success and this is because the brain is not able to do something new easily. It takes time for the brain to master and after repetitive tries it finally masters it. This is why if you do not try for a large period of time on something you want master, it will be next to impossible to master. If this is the case, we must be able to understand that failure is a normal process in life if it requires our brain to experience what we are trying several times to we are able to grasp it.

One reason is because of patience. To get better at something failure and patience are interlinked. You fail and you require patience to try again, if you do not have patience then you are less likely to try again. You will accept the failure if though you do not want to and then it starts to play on you.

Another major reason is because we live in a world where failure is not accepted. We say that failure is important because it gives us experience and so forth. However, in reality there are no room for second chances. Children are taught early on that you do not do well and get good grades then you are a failure and will not amount to anything and thus your life is over. Such children develop fear that they avoid trying new things or following their passion because they do not want to be a failure. This is supported research which argues that children avoid particular subjects because there is no room for failure. It is better to do something easy so I do not fail. This creates generations who hide in a shell and choose to play it safe than test their abilities.

We also talk about first impressions, when we want to make a good first impression what are we really saying? We are saying that I must avoid all forms of failure to make an impression. People are so obsessed with first impressions that they talk in the mirror and they spend large amounts of money to look good. This all to avoid looking like a failure that we forget ourselves and become inclined to others perceptions about us.

The realities are that no matter how much you avoid failure, you are still going to experience it. The question is, what will you do when you do experience it?
