Be appreciative
A common thing that bothers a lot of us is keeping up to date with the world around us. We want to know and have the latest trends that everyone has by any means necessary. In a world where consumption is highly advertised and desired by all, we oftenly look at we are missing and do not possess. We may want a particular thing because I don't have it, the words 'need and want' are the same as wants have become needs. Many of us have forgotten the many important things we possess that others are dying to have. We walk while others can't, we smell while others can't, we see, eat talk hear and are independent while others can't. We claim we are depressed and our lives are empty while people who lack the blessings we have would give the whole world for is given to us. Being appreciative is important to survive a world which bases its self on consumption and going more and more.
If we take a moment to stop and look at the blessing in our lives, we would start to see the beauty of the life we are privileged to have. It helps us others and their difficult circumstances as we learn the value of our blessings and how others who do not not have it live.
Most of the time we only recognise our daily blessings when we lose them. we learn the value of the things in our lives when they are completely taken away and we no longer can have it. Being appreciative helps you become patient when you lose your blessings as you know their value and worth in your life. We also learn that many of the things we cry for are not as important as the things we have as things do not complete our lives and make us who we are.
