Is misfortune really misfortune?

When Misfortune strikes, whether it is something light or deeply cutting, it can be a very hard for us to deal with it. It scars us and leaves us drowsy, tired, devastated and upset and we feel that a dark cloud is hanging over us. At times we feel that how can such a misfortune strike me ad what did I do to deserve this. Misfortune is hard but is misfortune really a misfortune? or is it something more

Misfortune is never greeted with a warm welcome, rather we welcome it with fear, anxiety and devastation but misfortune is not really that bad. Yes, it is bad the moment it strikes and cuts us, however it has the ability to change us for the better. Misfortune does not mean you are cut from all good things in life but it helps you recognise the good things you take for granted. It helps you be appreciative and thankful for them and know how it feels when they are lost. Misfortune does not mean that the world has shut its door on you and everywhere is dark, it rather helps you look at life through a different lens. It helps you see the world in different way compared to the way you used to see it before. It helps you learn new ways to do the things you used to do thus helping you acquire new skills to deal with life.

Misfortune gives us new life experiences, it helps us become confident and strong-willed as these skilled are needed in life. It helps us get prepared for other misfortunes and how we should tackle it and surpass its challenge. Misfortune helps us see how others deal with similar misfortunes and creates sympathy in our hearts for those who go through harder misfortunes than us.





When misfortune strikes, it can be a difficult period and it can play with our emotions, however misfortunes come to challenge you because you are special. Misfortune may not be the best way to be presented as special as we deem it hard, exhausting and miserable but it strikes you because you are special. Misfortune wants to give life experiences to live a happier and easier life, it strikes because it wants to wake you up from your fantasy slumber and remind you that you live in the real world and you need the life experiences it going to teach you. It strikes you because it knows you are strong-willed and can handle it challenges and tribulations.

Misfortune can be daunting but looking at it in a positive manner helps us see that misfortune is a tool to help us build our lives in a more happier and productive way. So next time a misfortune occurs, remember that its come to help you learn a new life lesson to implement in your life.
