Whats wrong with Donald Trump?
November 8
for many was going to be one of the biggest events of the century. For many, it
was going to be the day America was going to elect its first female president,
however that was not the case. Rather America chose a man who had no prior
experience of politics and whose campaign clearly showed that he had no chance
of becoming America’s next president. His election victory not only shocked
American’s but the entire world as everyone else who does not live in America are
spectators and constantly look into the latest on the election.
Many people around the world began to speculate
what a Trump presidency would look like and would Trump fulfill many of the
policies he said he would do when he enters the white house. Others began to
voice their concerns and worries of Trump as president and Trump continue to keep
the same attitude candidate Trump. All media types burst with comments, fears
and thoughts of people who had something to say of Trump’s election policy,
however many people seem to a couple of things that are not true about Trump’s
presidential victory.
Many people believe Trump has gained
ultimate power:
With Trump
winning the election, many people believe that Trump can automatically
legislate what he wants and has complete power to do so, however, this is not
the case. America has a constitution and Donald Trump is elected to respect
that constitution, a simple scenario where Trump has already shown he respects
the constitution is his victory speech. In it he stated that he will respect
people, no matter what religion or racial background, this is a complete change
from presidential nominee Trump who made inappropriate comments during his
campaign. This shows that Trump knows he has to respect the constitutional rights
present in America as any president has to, even though his campaign showed
attitudes that a typical presidential would not have, his victory is an example
of change.
Second, if
Donald Trump wants to legislate the policies he stated during his campaign, it
would have to pass the congress which made of the Senate and house of
representative. A majority would have to form for Trump to get those
legislations through, if he does not then it is not legislated. This is for any
country, the parliament must agree on the president or prime minister’s
proposed legislation, so Trump is under the same law. He depends on getting a
majority to get his legislations through and can’t just legislate what he
thinks he wants.
Politics and politicians are the same
thing:
Politics and
politicians are the same thing and nothing ever changes. There are
constitutions that are in place that every politician has to follow, the figure
in power changes but set foundations never do. This means Trump will be no
different than Hillary Clinton if she came into power, all have set rules and
constitutions to follow which pretty much make them the same. Trump is elected
into an already established system and must follow it as that is what he will
swear to abide by. If this is the case
than everything is an already set system where politicians are elected to
follow, then Trump will be the same as those before him and those after him are
going to be the same.
Yes, many
will say that Trump is a racist by rejecting immigration, who is Islamophobic
and so
on but these things have existed before Trump’ presidential campaign and
they are going to after he leaves office. These are things that have existed
decades and centuries ago and will continue to exist until a proper solution is
offered. These issues have existed during the rule of presidents before Trump
and will continue through the presidencies of future presidents and even if
Hillary Clinton came into power, it’s not like these problems will miraculously
disappear and everything will be hunky dory. We can’t ignore this fact and many
people who were from the backgrounds
Trump said this about ended up voting for
him.
I guess many
people believe that politics and politicians are the same thing. Every
politician will rule in a similar manner, have similar policies and have to
follow the same constitution. So there will be a clear distinction between presidential
nominee Trump and President Trump due to these factors. So if Trump will have
to mend his ways to continue to be president, that means we don’t have to
speculate each time a new politician is elected but work towards establishing
what we want to see in our lives and the change we want to see.
